Hey! I'm John.

If you were to ask me when I was 18 what I'd be doing as a career in my 30s, I would not have said wedding videography - but I'm so thankful that through all the twists and turns of life, this is where I've landed, because I LOVE it.
​
It's just fun. Not a single bit of it feels like work. I'm blessed to witness unforgettable moments of genuine love between friends and family, and not only that, I get to retell the story through video. It's absolutely incredible and I don't take it for granted.
​
Weddings are meant to be unforgettable. Whether it's dancing with the Grandparents, the Best Man stumbling through his speech, or the proud Father crying tears of joy as he gives his Daughter away to the love of her life. All of it, every moment, deserves a place in our memories forever.
​
Have you ever pulled an old box out of the closet, opened it up, and found a stack of old photos from a moment in time you nearly forgot? Or found an old mix CD from 2001 that took you back to your youth? That's what I hope couples get from my video when they watch it at their 5, 10, and 20 year anniversary.

"A video was not originally in my budget but I talked to a lot of people who's biggest regret was not getting one. I am SO HAPPY I decided to spend the extra money.
We chose Mid 80s Media after looking at a ton of videographer's portfolios in our area and fell in love with the style of John's highlight films. I loved that the audio is a mix of vows and speeches and music and the visuals seemed so natural.
Our wedding was October 2021 and John did not miss a moment. He was able to capture everything we had hoped and more, but was also never in the way. He is very calm and relaxed which is extremely appreciated on a stressful day.
We just received our footage back and the quality is amazing. We watched our highlight on our 65" TV and it looked like it could have been a Hollywood movie.

"John was a fantastic addition to our vendors for our wedding. He was very professional, and did a great job going over in detail how he shoots weddings, his equipment, and style. His website has very good video samples and a clear breakdown of his packages, and based on our own video, I would say his video samples are very accurate to what we got while still capturing our own event's feeling and style.
One of the best things we and many of our guests appreciated about John was his ability to put people at ease. He is very confident in finding shots and directing you, but he is also very calm, with a friendly demeanor that makes him very personable and easy to talk to and follow. It is very clear he enjoys not only videography, but working on weddings and being a part of making happy people even happier.

John was phenomenal, from the moment he arrived he brought a calming presence to what can be a stressful day while also capturing the energy and excitement of the festivities. He worked seamlessly with our photographers striving to never be in their way and instead excelled at finding ways to follow their lead while making occasional suggestions so that both the photos and video truly captured the moment in their own ways. The end result was an absolutely beautiful video that we’ll be re-watching for years to come. Cannot recommend John and his team enough.
